Senior Advocate Shyam Divan elected Vice President of LAWASIA
Senior Advocate Shyam Divan has been elected Vice President of LAWASIA.
LAWASIA is a regional association of lawyers, judges, jurists and legal organisations, which advocates for the interests and concerns of the Asia Pacific legal profession.
Shyam Divan was the Bar Association of India’s nominee for the post. Advocate Anindita Pujari, who is the General Secretary of Bar Association of India, confirmed Divan’s election to the post.
The election was held at Cambodia, during an Annual Conference held by LAWASIA. The Conference, presently in its 31st year, commenced on November 1 and will continue till November 5, 2018.
