National Law University Delhi (NLUD), in collaboration with Harvard Law School (HLS), will offer a comparative copyright law course titled CopyrightX: NLUD in the upcoming semester. The twelve-week hybrid course will start on 1 st February 2022 and end by 30th April 2022. The course is an affiliate course of the CopyrightX program, offered by Prof. William Fisher and Prof. Ruth Okediji at Harvard Law School, and will be open for candidates from across South Asian countries.

About the CopyrightX Course:

The course will explore diverse legal aspects of copyright, its impact on fields like arts and entertainment, and debates around reforming the existing copyright law. The course will provide a comparative perspective by focusing equally on both the US Copyright law and the Indian Copyright law while also discussing its application in other jurisdictions. Interactive discussions with artists and other copyright experts will form an integral part of the programme.

The course outline can be accessed from this link.

The course will employ a unique pedagogical approach of combining recorded online lectures of Prof. William Fisher (HLS) and Prof. Ruth Okediji (HLS) with live online lectures by Dr Arul George Scaria, Associate Professor of Law and Co-Executive Director at Centre for Innovation, Intellectual Property and Competition, NLUD.
