Supreme court agrees to hear the plea against land acquisition process for Bullet Train project by Farmers

After the rejection of the allegation from the lower court, the Supreme Court agrees to hear the plea on Friday.

About the Bullet train and project.

The bullet train project was launched by PM Narendra Modi and his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe in September 2017. The project to be completed by 2023.

The bullet trains are famous worldwide for the speed, efficiency, comfort and such elegance of space.
This train will run at the speed of 320-350 km/hr and will have 12 stations across its 508 km stretch from Ahmadabad to Mumbai. 

The plea agrees that the land acquisition is illegal SC issued notice to the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Ltd. (NHSRC) and the Gujarat and Central Government.

APPLICATION ON BEHALF OF APPLICANT FOR WAIVER OF COST, FORMAT

The bench said, “Issue notice on the Special Leave Petition (SLPs) as well as on the application for stay, returnable on March 20, 2020.”
