SC slams LG Anil Baijal for inaction, states that Delhi is under ‘Mountains of Garbage’
Supreme Court Bench comprising of Justice Madan B Lokur and Justice Deepak Gupta while referring to “mountains of garbage” at the three landfill sites Ghazipur, Okhla and Bhalswa stated that no action has been taken by authorities, including the office of the LG due to which Delhi was facing the serious problem.
LG and Delhi Government office submitted before Apex Court Bench Municipal Corporations have the responsibility to deal with issue of Solid Waste Management.
