SC Allows Journalists to Carry Mobile Phones in Court Room

Today Supreme Court of India has been issued Circular, Administration General Branch whereby it has been informed that Chief Justice Dipak Misra has allowed Media Persons/Journalists to carry on mobile phones inside the Court Rooms in silent mode. However, such journalists shall have been issued six months passes by the Registry and the Deputy Registrar (Public Relations) shall endorse on the pass that the person carrying mobile phone be allowed to carry mobile phone inside the Court room.
In May, 2018, the Supreme Court had allowed only Accredited media persons to carry mobile phones inside Court rooms.
