Bar Council of Delhi: Big Four- KPMG , PwC, EY and Deloitte bar from practicing law
The Bar Council of Delhi has directed the Big Four Accounting Firms – KPMG, Price Water House Coopers, Ernst & Youngand Deloitte India to to refrain from indulging in law practice with immediate effect, until further orders.

The BCD has also asked them to give a list of all the advocates, who have been engaged by them, in any capacity, in any of their offices at any place.

A complaint filed by Lalit Bhasin, President of the Society of Indian Law Firms, a representative body of over 100 law firms in the country.

The Advocates Act, which governs legal practice in India, does not allow audit firms to offer legal services. The next hearing in this matter is on July 12, 2019.
