AILET-2020: NLU-D Postponed, fresh date of “Centre- Based(RPT) to be AnnouncedNLU Delhi, AILET-2020 exam for BA LLB, LLM, PhD has been postponed again from 18 August, in view of the ongoing pandemic situation, to date yet to be announced.

A circular released by NLU-D on July 29 states that” the a new date of the entrance test will be notified “shortly” and at least 10 days prior notice shall be given prior to the fresh date of the AILET 2020.”

Circular also said NLU-D and National Testing Agency (NTA), has decided to hold this year’s test as a ‘Centre-Based Remote Proctored Test‘. Centres for the examination will be notified shortly.

1) Duration of the examination shall be a same : 90 Minutes;

2) Patten shall be Multiple Choice (MCQ), answered with a single correct response;

3) Negative marking for wrong answers – of a deduction of 0.25 marks for each wrong response;

4) Remote Proctored Online Assessment shall be the format adopted for the examination;

5) Candidates shall be expected to visit National Test Centre’s of the NTA in person in consonance with following social distancing norms.

The Circular also extended the deadline for online application form to  August 10, 2020.

The following are additional updates on the new mode of exam in circular:

  • Admit Cards with relevant details shall soon be issued and is to be downloaded from the website. The Card will have information regarding the test centre and time of examination and is required for entry to the exam centre, along with ID.
  • Candidates are not permitted mobile phones or electronic devices during the examination.
  • The results will be announced by the NTA and downloadable Score Cards will be issued.
  • Scribes will be available and extra time offered to persons who have registered as physically-challenged during registration (for PwD Candidates).
